Glazers Coffee

There’s a little place that I remember running to before school to buy a pie for my friends’ birthdays back in high school.  It was a bakery back then.

It’s turned into a coffee.shop since-a good one with just the perfect ambiance…one for students, for writers, for a coffice.  In fact, the place was packed for the afternoon.  Today, I brought my Hubby to partake in the who experience.  Leaving the hustle & bustle outside the glass doors. We ordered a Grande Cafe Breve…absolutely delicious and indulgent.  I’ve been craving it since the last time I came to visit a friend and his coffice.

A really nice touch is the latte art.  Really adds the special touch 😉

Too pretty to drink, but oh so comforting for a not so great day. ;). A Grande Cafe Breve 😉

Nighttime Shabu Shabu @ Kirin Restaurant

Hard to understand the concept of Shabu Shabu in Hawaii, with the warm weather…but it’s the Asian flair…

Tonight is my first experience of Shabu Shabu at Kirin Restaurant.  A nice selection of seafood (shrimp, scallops, clams), meats (sliced meats, tripe), veggies (tidy, won bok, spinach) and the essential long rice, look fun, and spicy shoyu.

I’ll keep you posted with my feedback.  Stay tuned!

Casual Dining: Eat the Street (Theme: Spicy)

If you’re ever looking for the hottest, latest, greatest hangout with awesome food (themed)…eat the street is the place! It all happens in a Kakaako parking lot, with high up bright lights and music from the music stations like 100.3.

I feel like I’m back in college again…except the party’s outdoor with music (and some eye candy), but short of the bumping and grinding…ono!  Everybody and their dog is here!  What a nice way to end the work week!  Pau Hana!

I will need to try the malasada burger that everyone is raving about, next time….for now, talk about broke the mouth!  No…literally, my mouth is on fire.  Can you say spicy?

I like how they have recycle stations there too! How environmentally conscious!

Being the Chinese that I am, I enjoy the joys of using a coupon.  In this day and age with Living Social, Groupon, Daily Deals, etc.  who wouldn’t want a deal?  Score for Steph-Buy 1 Kalbi plate, get the second half off. Til next meal!
